Compared to its predecessor, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W213) is more elegant and more stylish. Abiding by Mercedes’ design philosophy that helps achieve the so-called “Sensual Purity,” the next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class boasts of a look that stirs up emotions.

But it seems that Lorinser, a tuner from Waiblingen, Germany, believes it could do more to make the new Mercedes E Class more stylish. And because it is Lorinser, there is good reason to believe this company. After all, modifying and tinkling Mercedes cars has been the tuner’s specialty, and its experience goes all the way back to the 1930s.

One of the many things that Lorinser did to the new Mercedes-Benz E-class is to increase the output of the engines underneath its bonnet. Mercedes E Class models like the E350d or the AMG E43 could now take advantage of a power boost, thanks to Lorinser’s new engine management system. Typically, the 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine available on the E350d is able to deliver up to 258 hp of output and up to 620 Nm of torque. This allows the Mercedes E350d to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a matter of 5.9 seconds.

Lorinser’s new engine management system hikes these numbers to 296 hp (221 kW) of max output and 513 pound-feet (695 Nm) of peak torque. A normal Mercedes E 43 is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder V6 biturbo engine with two new turbochargers. This powerplant provides 401 hp (295 kW) of max output and 520 Nm of peak torque available at 2,500 rpm – allowing the Mercedes E43 to zoom to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. However, when Lorinser’s new engine management system goes to work, the figures go up to 434 hp (324 kW) of output and 443 lb/ft (600 Nm) of torque.

Of course, Lorinser’s work includes the installation of a new body kit that includes a front splitter and rocker panel skirt, as well as rear wing and a new rear bumper finisher with aero flicks and tailpipe housings – all of which are made from carbon fiber.

Additionally, the kit includes door mirror caps and new tailpipes. Lorinser’s 2017 Mercedes E Class rides on new, one-piece, forged RS11 alloy wheels (9.0×21 inches at the front and 10.5×21 inches at the rear) wrapped in 255/30ZR21 tires on the front and 295/25ZR21 at the rear. This Mercedes E Class also boasts of a lower ride, thanks to a lowering kit. The interior, meanwhile, receives new floor mats, illuminated door sills and aluminum pedal finishers.

As a package, Lorinser is offering this kit for €14,935 ($15,847), although the components are also available individually.
